Voting NO doesn’t mean a strike. It just sends people back to the negotiating table.

Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings, Goonies, Rudy, Stranger Things) has been a member of the SAG union since 1985. His mother, Patty Duke, was president of the Union in the eighties, and he has been passionate about supporting entertainment professionals for a long, long time.

In this interview, Sean and David Jolliffe, an actor, union member, national board member and expert on the contract details, cover the voting process, how these contract negotiations come about, what this 2020 TV/Theatrical contracts negotiation has produced and why they believe that the SAG-AFTRA membership should vote NO on this form of the contract and send our negotiating team back to the table to improve the terms.
